Things to Do

Niagara, Canada is one of the most attractive four-season destinations in the world. From the sheer spectacle of Niagara Falls to the region’s renowned wine country, from its rich history to its beautiful parks and hiking and biking trails, there is something for everyone!  Niagara boasts 20 historical museums, the historic charm of towns that sit along the canal, beautiful lakeside beaches and enough golf courses to satisfy even the most avid golfers. Alongside some of the world's most exciting indoor water parks, natural hiking and cycling trails and over 70 world-renowned wineries, Niagara is the most dynamic four-season destination in the world.  See the Falls through several thrilling perspectives such as Hornblower Niagara Cruises, Journey Behind the Falls, the Skylon Tower, the Niagara SkyWheel, or Niagara Helicopters. Take a stroll down Clifton Hill -  the world famous 'Street of Fun' by the Falls with wax museums, arcades, themed restaurants, haunted houses and more.  Hiking through the Niagara Escarpment at the southernmost section of The Bruce Trail at either Balls Falls Heritage Conservation Area, Woodend Conservation Area, or Short Hills Provincial Park, allows you to see the beauty of the Niagara Region.

Visit Niagara-On-The-Lake’s unique charm and historic sites, including Fort George and Brock’s Monument, Period-Restored Heritage Homes, Breathtaking Park & Gardens, as well as over 30 Wineries & Vineyards.  You can also enjoy the Old Town Shopping District, which boasts a number of quaint shops, boutiques, restaurants, fine hotels, and spas, as well as public and private Art Galleris, Centuries-Old Court House, Museums, and the Renowned Shaw Festival Theatre.

Dining

Whether you are out for a mid-day munchie or a late night snack, there are many eating establishments to satisfy any appetite.  Within a minute’s drive you can dine at Frescos where they offer a menu that  features favourite dishes from around the world or The Feathery which offers a British Inspired Menu and a True Pub Atmosphere.  There are so many dining options within the Region so please don’t hesitate to ask the Staff for recommendations!

Pro Shop & Skate Sharpening

Front Row Sports has a store in the Seymour-Hannah Arena Complex, as well as a huge retail store in town.  They offer a wide assortment of hockey equipment and supplies.  Early in the week, Front Row will provide an information session and demonstration of the newest hockey equipment at their location in the Seymour-Hannah Arena.  If you don’t have a car, transportation can be arranged  to get you there.

You can also have your skates sharpened at the Front Row Store in the Seymour-Hannah Arena.

Massage Services

Exercise & Swimming Facilities

For the energetic camper, there are lots of recreation options.  Ridley College has excellent facilities for swimming, tennis, squash and basketball.  Use the running track for a morning sprint.  Various activities will be planned for your week with us.  These will be outlined in the schedule you will receive upon your arrival at camp.
