Travel

If you are making arrangements to fly to camp, you can choose from four airports. Plattsburgh, NY is about one hour from Lake Placid. Montreal, QC, Burlington, VT and Albany, NY are all about two hours from Lake Placid.

Arrival Time

If you are flying in, plan your travel so you arrive in time for Registration on the first day of your program. Registration is from 1:30pm-3:30pm.

Departure Time

For return flights, plan for a flight that leaves after 4:30 PM on the last day of your camp.

Passport Requirements

Campers traveling internationally will be required to carry a Passport or other qualifying document. For campers flying by themselves, check with your airlines for any additional restrictions. Campers carrying passports, airline tickets and other important documents must lock them in the safe in the Camp Office. Please hand them in at registration once you arrive at camp!

Border Crossing

US and Canadian citizens traveling across border lines by land are required to present one of the travel documents listed below.

- Passport
- Passport Card (US citizens only)
- Enhanced Driver´s Licence/Enhanced Identification Card
- NEXUS
- FAST/Express
- SENTRI card

U.S. and Canadian children under the age of 16 will be able to present the original or copy of their birth certificates, or other proof of citizenship such as a naturalization certificate or citizenship card.
