PACKAGE EXPLANATION

The CAN/AM Pond Hockey Tournament is available as a Gold Package where prices are charged on a per person basis depending on the number of players and guests in each room. This per person cost includes hotel accommodations, the tournament fee, and all of the package benefits listed for the tournament. All tax and gratuity are included in prices. The price is per person for the weekend. There are no additional fees. Depending on hotel selection, your room will have either a queen/queen, double/double, king/sofa bed or queen/sofa. Parking, cots, and other incidentals will be the responsibility of the individual incurring these charges.

To calculate costs for the Gold Package, add the number of players and guests in a room. This determines the occupancy i.e. 1 player + 1 guest = double occupancy. Once you know the occupancy, simply add the corresponding per person cost for each player and guest in that room. All minors are free and do not receive any package benefits. Minors do not affect the occupancy. Minors stay with parent(s) in existing bed space. Therefore 1 player + 1 guest + 1 minor = double occupancy. We arrange your hotels, games, divisions, tournament events, and let you worry about one thing: having fun while experiencing great hockey!

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

For a team to participate, all rostered players, coaches, managers, and guests must subscribe to the package. Rates are based on 6 rostered players. Teams with less than 6 players will be charged the "Price per Team Member" listed under the Tournament only fee tab for each missing player.

Policies

TEAM DEPOSIT

A non-refundable $300 deposit will be charged to your credit card when your registration is accepted. The $300 team deposit is not an extra fee.  If you paid the team deposit, you can apply it to your balance or it can be divided between players. If the team paid the $300 deposit, it can be returned to the team 30 days after tournament participation (refunds of team deposits paid by credit card are subject to a 5% service fee). Please contact one of our customer service representatives to discuss your options more fully. Should a team cancel its participation from an event, all deposits related to that team's registration will be forfeited.

DEADLINES
All tournament related materials are due 45 days prior to the Tournament Date.  All final balances are due 30 days prior to the Tournament Date.

CANCELLATION POLICIES AND INSURANCE

PANDEMIC/FORCE MAJEURE CANCELLATION POLICY Should CAN/AM Hockey be forced to cancel an event due to a pandemic/force majeure, 100% of all fees paid will be credited to a future event.

STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY For uninsured reservations, all payments are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, there are no refunds on any payments unless the reservation holder purchased insurance. 

RESERVATION INSURANCE
All fees and reservations may be insured against cancellation. Any reservation for which the insurance was purchased will be entitled to a full refund of all fees paid less the cost of the insurance, subject to terms and conditions.  Click here for more information on reservation insurance.

AT THE TOURNAMENT

Welcome to the CAN/AM Pond Hockey Tournament in Lake Placid, New York! Get ready for a weekend of hockey and fun. Your tournament starts Friday with two games, followed by two more on Saturday. Games finish by dusk, so you’ll have time to explore the village and enjoy all of the activities. By Saturday evening, the playoff matchups will be set. Will your team make it to the Medal Games on Sunday morning? There’s something for the whole family to enjoy, on and off the ice.

Tournament Central will be in the Four Seasons Room at The Golden Arrow Resort. Our CAN/AM staff will be there to help with anything you need. You’ll also find tournament standings and a selection of souvenirs throughout the weekend. Tournament Central opens one hour before the first game and closes at 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.

All players must change in the tent on Mirror Lake. Equipment is not allowed in the Four Seasons Room. Teams must leave the bench area clean and vacate within 5 minutes after their game ends to make room for the next team. To stay on track, arrive at your rink 10 minutes before your game for warm-ups.

Gold Package participants get two breakfast tickets, valid Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Just bring your ticket to the restaurant to enjoy a buffet breakfast from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. After your games, use your beverage tickets at the Ice Bar from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm or at Generations Restaurant after hours on Friday and Saturday.
