This Local Team Fee is for teams that live within 60 miles of the tournament location. Rates are in US funds and are tax inclusive.

As a condition of acceptance, all out of town teams more than 60 miles from Seattle must reserve rooms and stay at one of our authorized hotels. Your families will conveniently make and pay for their hotel reservations right on the CAN/AM Hockey website.

Tournament Info

Get ready for the ultimate hockey weekend at the CAN/AM Challenge Cup in vibrant Seattle, Washington! Your unforgettable Tournament experience is just around the corner. We’ve put together everything you need to know about the tournament and the exciting city of Seattle—just focus on enjoying the action while we take care of the details!

Tournament Central will be located in the lobby of the Kraken Community Iceplex, where you’ll find tournament standings, locker room assignments, souvenirs, and friendly CAN/AM staff. Your Team Rep will register here before your first game and receive tournament instructions and player souvenirs.

Games will take place at the Kraken Community Iceplex and nearby rinks. The game schedule will be released about one week before the tournament, with all teams guaranteed four games. The first game kicks off Friday morning at 7:00 AM. After the round-robin matches, the top four teams in each division will move on to the Sunday Medal Championship games. By Saturday night, the matchups for these exciting games will be set. Will your team rise to the challenge and make it to the Medal Games on Sunday morning? The Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medal Games will conclude by late afternoon on Sunday.

In every division, players will receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze CAN/AM Championship medals. The victorious Gold Medal teams will also take home a special Challenge Cup Championship plaque and a Gold Medal CAN/AM banner to proudly display in their home arena.

Throughout the weekend, our friendly CAN/AM Staff is always ready to assist. Whether you need directions, suggestions, or just a friendly face, we’re here to make your experience as smooth as possible. No matter the outcome on the ice, our mission is to deliver an unmatched hockey experience. That’s why so many teams make the CAN/AM Challenge Cup an annual tradition. Tournament Sanctioning

The Challenge Cup is a USA Hockey sanctioned tournament. USA Hockey rules will be followed with additional CAN/AM tournament rules. Once you register, a copy of the CAN/AM rules will be available for review. US teams must provide a signed Official USA Hockey Roster 60 days prior to the tournament (some states also require a Travel Permit). Canadian teams must submit the required Travel Permit and Official Hockey Roster issued by their governing body (i.e. GTHL, OMHA, Hockey Quebec, etc). No team will be allowed to participate in the tournament without submitting this information.
