Adult Camp
The Adirondack Mountains – the perfect backdrop for a hockey camp and a memorable getaway. Skate where history was made on the USA rink and at the 1980 Arena, where the US hockey team achieved their legendary “Miracle” victory.
Get ready for an unforgettable weekend filled with world-class instruction, top-notch staff, and exceptional programming.
Set in the heart of the Adirondacks, our camp location maximizes every aspect of your experience. CAN/AM is more than just a camp, it’s a summer getaway in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
Campers will train on the same ice surfaces that hosted Olympic champions. This rich Olympic history inspires every camper’s on-ice performance. With permanent locker rooms fostering team camaraderie before and after each session, every part of your experience is designed to bring you closer to the sport. When you leave this camp, you’ll know you’ve skated in one of hockey’s most iconic arenas.
Make this summer one to remember in Lake Placid!
Our Goal
Our Hockey Camp is tailored for players at every level, offering the expert coaching and guidance you need to elevate your game. Led by a team of seasoned instructors with a specialization in adult hockey development, you’ll receive personalized instruction to refine your skills.
Our targeted drills focus on the core areas of improvement: skating, stickhandling, passing, shooting, and positional play, ensuring you build a well-rounded game.
In addition to on-ice training, you'll participate in small area games and controlled scrimmages, where coaches provide immediate, actionable feedback from both the bench and on the ice. One-on-one interactions with our knowledgeable coaches allow for deep, individualized attention to your progress, ensuring you not only improve but also enjoy the process.
While online instructional videos can be helpful, they often lack cohesion and context, making it difficult to connect the dots between skills. Watching a video is one thing, executing the skills with precision and receiving real-time feedback is where true improvement happens.
That's where CAN/AM Adult Hockey Camps stand apart. We offer a structured curriculum that connects the dots and focuses on repetition, with coaches available to give instant, meaningful feedback to maximize every session.
Outside of on-ice training, our Q&A sessions offer you the unique opportunity to tap into the mind of your coach. Curious about power play strategy, or how to handle the puck effectively when it's coming along the boards? Better yet, where to position yourself to get the puck more often? For goalies, gain insights into the shooter's mentality on a breakaway. These discussions provide the deeper understanding that leads to real progress.
This summer, don’t miss the chance to take your game to new heights with CAN/AM Hockey Camps.

Typical Weekend
Our program kicks off Thursday afternoon with registration, a brief orientation, and an evening ice session, followed by a meet-and-greet reception. On Friday and Saturday, you'll enjoy two 2-hour ice sessions each day, along with a lecture on strategy and playmaking, followed by a Q&A session. Saturday evening features a dinner banquet for all campers and staff. The final ice session is Sunday morning, leaving you plenty of time to head home afterward.
The first session each day will focus on individual skill development, including power skating, stickhandling, passing, and shooting. The second session will emphasize positional play and game strategy, incorporating small area games and instructional scrimmages. These scrimmages provide an opportunity for coaches to offer guidance from behind the bench, helping you refine your approach and play smarter on the ice.

Things to Do
Having hosted two Winter Olympics, Lake Placid is speckled with Olympic sites, museums and memories. No trip to Lake Placid is complete without soaking up some of the Olympic flavor. One of the more stunning Olympic venues happens to be the trip up Veterans Memorial Highway which leads to the top of Whiteface Mountain. At the top of the mountain, you can choose to climb the stairs to the summit, or you can take an elevator which runs through the granite near Whiteface. From the summit, on a clear day you can see the skyline of Montreal, as well as the length of the 110-mile-long Lake Champlain.
If Whiteface doesn’t quench your panoramic fever, take a trip to the Ski Jumping complex. The 90 and 120-meter jumps have been the proving grounds for many World Champions and Olympians alike. The 120-meter jump tower features a skydeck, accessible by chairlift and elevator that will give you a sky-high perspective on the art of the Ski Jump. At the complex, you will also find the U.S. Freestyle aerial water training facility. Mt. Van Hoevenberg is the site of the Luge and Bobsled events. You can take a ride on the summer-rigged bobsleds or luges.
Travel
If you are making arrangements to fly to camp, there are three major airports to choose from: Montreal, QC, Burlington, VT and Albany, NY. Each airport is about 2 hours from Lake Placid. In addition to the airports listed above, you may be able to find flights into the following small airports: Lake Clear is about 30 minutes away, and Plattsburgh, NY is a 50-minute ride. Lake Placid Airport also provides a landing strip for small planes.
