While weekly leagues can be fun, they won’t provide the focused, personalized training you need to make significant progress.

As a goaltender, you’ll have the chance to focus on what truly matters: developing your unique style and honing your skills. Often the most important player on the ice but the least instructed, you’ll get the attention you deserve with one-on-one coaching from an elite goaltending instructor. Experience real game situations in team drills and scrimmages, all while receiving immediate feedback to fine-tune your technique. Every save, every movement will help elevate your game, and our expert coach will guide you toward becoming the best version of yourself in the crease.

Program Highlights

ON-ICE INSTRUCTION

12 hours of on-ice instruction beginning Thursday evening and ending Sunday morning.

2 hours on-ice Thursday evening.
4 hours on-ice Friday divided into two 2-hour sessions.
4 hours on-ice Saturday divided into two 2-hour sessions.
2 hours on-ice Sunday morning.
Plus two goalies-only sessions (Friday and Saturday).

Daily Power Skating Sessions to enhance agility in movement, recovery, mobility, and foot speed.

Individual on-ice instruction including skills such as stance, movement, angle play, rebound control, and puck handling.

Learn save selection and technique. Learn exactly how to read, react, and even dictate what happens during an offensive attack.

Understand breakaway concepts and techniques. Know when to come out and how far, how quickly to back up, what visual cues to look for and what saves to make.

Video Feedback to analyze individual skill development.

Actual game playing experience during your team’s scrimmages and small area games.

OFF-ICE INSTRUCTION

Personalized lectures centered on the goalie position and your questions. Topics covered: advantages and drawbacks of goaltending styles, goalie responsibilities, pre-game preparation, in-game focus, regrouping after a goal, learning from and bouncing back from a bad game.

Stretching and Flexibility Sessions.

Coaches are available to chat about the game at any time throughout the day.

The Progress Report Card provides you with a comprehensive, detailed evaluation of your performance throughout the program. This report includes the coaches’ assessment of your on-ice skills, giving you valuable insights into your strengths and areas for improvement. This personalized feedback is an essential tool for your continued growth as a hockey player.

The High Peaks is located right in downtown Lake Placid, offering easy access to walking trails and two lakes for boating, paddling, and fishing. Start each day of your CAN/AM Hockey Camp experience energized and ready for action with a hearty breakfast at the High Peaks Resort. From Friday through Sunday, all resident campers can enjoy breakfast served daily from 6:00-9:00am.

The breakfast spread includes a variety of options to suit all tastes and dietary preferences. Guests can choose from continental, American, and gluten-free selections, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Friday Dinner

Friday dinner is an exclusive experience for our resident campers, offering another fantastic opportunity to bond with your fellow campers in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
