This Local Team Fee is for teams that live within 60 miles of the tournament location. Rates are in US funds and are tax inclusive.
As a condition of acceptance, all out of town teams more than 60 miles from Austin must reserve rooms and stay at one of our authorized hotels. Your families will conveniently make and pay for their hotel reservations right on the CAN/AM Hockey website.

Tournament Info
Welcome to the CAN/AM Challenge Cup in vibrant Austin, Texas! Your ultimate tournament experience is about to begin, and we're here to help you plan the perfect weekend. Let us handle the details while you focus on enjoying the best hockey weekend ever!
Tournament Headquarters will be located in the lobby of the Ice & Field complex, where you’ll find posted standings, locker room assignments, souvenirs, photos, and, of course, our friendly CAN/AM Staff. Tournament Central is where your Team Rep will register before the first game, receive important instructions, and pick up special player souvenirs for each participant.
Games will take place at Ice & Field at The Crossover. Your schedule will be available one week before the tournament. Each team is guaranteed 4 games, starting Friday at 8:00 AM. After the round-robin games, the top four teams in each division will advance to Sunday’s Medal Championship games. By Saturday night, the Medal matchups will be set. Will your team make it to the Gold, Silver, or Bronze game on Sunday? The medal games will conclude by Sunday afternoon.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze CAN/AM Championship medals will be awarded in all divisions. Additionally, Gold Medal teams will receive a special Challenge Cup plaque and a Gold Medal CAN/AM banner to hang proudly at their home arena.
Throughout the weekend, the CAN/AM staff will be available to assist you. Whether you need directions, have questions, or simply need a suggestion, we're here to ensure you have the best possible experience both on and off the ice. Our mission is to provide an exceptional hockey experience for your team. The Challenge Cup is a professional event for amateur players, and that's why so many teams choose to return to the CAN/AM Austin Tournament year after year. Tournament Sanctioning
The Challenge Cup is a USA Hockey sanctioned tournament. USA Hockey rules will be followed with additional CAN/AM tournament rules. Once you register, a copy of the CAN/AM rules will be available for review. US teams must provide a signed Official USA Hockey Roster 60 days prior to the tournament (some states also require a Travel Permit). Canadian teams must submit the required Travel Permit and Official Hockey Roster issued by their governing body (i.e. GTHL, OMHA, Hockey Quebec, etc). No team will be allowed to participate in the tournament without submitting this information.
