This Local Team Fee is for teams that live within 60 miles of the tournament location. Rates are in US funds and are tax inclusive.
As a condition of acceptance, all out of town teams more than 60 miles from Denver must reserve rooms and stay at one of our authorized hotels. Your families will conveniently make and pay for their hotel reservations right on the CAN/AM Hockey website.

Tournament Info
Welcome to the CAN/AM Challenge Cup in exciting Denver, Colorado! Get ready for the ultimate tournament experience. We’ve put together everything you need to know about the event and what to expect in this vibrant city, so you can focus on having a fun and unforgettable hockey weekend!
The Tournament headquarters will be located in the lobby of the Blue Sports Stable. Here, you’ll find standings, locker room assignments, souvenirs, and the friendly CAN/AM staff ready to assist. Tournament Central is where your Team Rep will check in before your first game, receive important instructions, and pick up special player souvenirs for each participant.
All games will be played at Blue Sports Stable in Superior. Your game schedule will be available one week before the tournament starts. Each team is guaranteed four games, with play beginning on Friday at 8:00 AM. After the round-robin matches, the top four teams in each division will head into the Medal Championship games on Sunday. By Saturday night, the Medal matchups for each division will be set. Will your team make it to the Gold, Silver, or Bronze Medal Games on Sunday morning? The Medal Games will be completed by late afternoon.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze CAN/AM Championship medals will be awarded to each player in every division. The Gold Medal teams will also receive a Challenge Cup Championship plaque and a special Gold Medal CAN/AM banner to proudly hang in their home arena.
Throughout the weekend, our dedicated CAN/AM staff will be available to help with anything you need. Whether it’s answering questions, offering recommendations, or just providing assistance, we’re here to ensure your team has an amazing time, both on and off the ice. Tournament Sanctioning
The Challenge Cup is a USA Hockey sanctioned tournament. USA Hockey rules will be followed with additional CAN/AM tournament rules. Once you register, a copy of the CAN/AM rules will be available for review. US teams must provide a signed Official USA Hockey Roster 60 days prior to the tournament (some states also require a Travel Permit). Canadian teams must submit the required Travel Permit and Official Hockey Roster issued by their governing body (i.e. GTHL, OMHA, Hockey Quebec, etc). No team will be allowed to participate in the tournament without submitting this information.
