This Local Team Fee is for teams that live within 60 miles of the tournament location. Rates are in US funds and are tax inclusive.
As a condition of acceptance, all out of town teams more than 60 miles from Salt Lake City must reserve rooms and stay at one of our authorized hotels. Your families will conveniently make and pay for their hotel reservations right on the CAN/AM Hockey website.

Tournament Info
Welcome to the CAN/AM Challenge Cup in Salt Lake City, Utah! Your ultimate tournament adventure is about to begin. To help you plan the most memorable weekend ever, here's a sneak peek of what to expect both at the tournament and in Salt Lake City. Let us handle the details so you can focus on enjoying your hockey experience!
The tournament headquarters will be located in the lobby of the Weber County Sports Complex, where you’ll find standings, locker room assignments, souvenirs, and the friendly CAN/AM Staff. Tournament Central is where your Team Rep will check in and receive additional tournament details along with special player souvenirs for each participant.
Games will take place at the Weber County Sports Complex in Ogden. The game schedule will be available one week prior to the tournament. All teams are guaranteed 4 games, starting Friday at 8:00 AM. Once the round-robin games conclude, the top four teams in each division will advance to Sunday’s Medal Championship games. By Saturday evening, the medal matchups for your division will be set. Will your team rise to the challenge and secure a spot in the Sunday morning Gold Medal Game? The Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medal Games will be completed by Sunday afternoon.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze CAN/AM Championship medals will be awarded to each player in every division. Additionally, the winning Gold Medal teams will receive a Challenge Cup Championship plaque and a Gold Medal CAN/AM banner to proudly hang in their home arena.

Tournament Sanctioning
The Challenge Cup is a USA Hockey sanctioned tournament. USA Hockey rules will be followed with additional CAN/AM tournament rules. Once you register, a copy of the CAN/AM rules will be available for review. US teams must provide a signed Official USA Hockey Roster 60 days prior to the tournament (some states also require a Travel Permit). Canadian teams must submit the required Travel Permit and Official Hockey Roster issued by their governing body (i.e. GTHL, OMHA, Hockey Quebec, etc). No team will be allowed to participate in the tournament without submitting this information.
