Out of Town Package

To be accepted into the tournament, all out-of-town teams located more than 60 miles from our tournament location must book accommodations at one of our designated hotels. CAN/AM has arranged room blocks at several nearby hotels for your convenience. Families can easily register their players and make hotel reservations through our user-friendly CAN/AM reservation platform, streamlining the process. YOUR OUT OF TOWN PACKAGE INCLUDES:

  • 3 days 2 nights accommodations at your choice of great area hotels. Check-in on Friday and check-out on Sunday. (Hotel selection honored based on earliest received $100 per room deposits. Deposits must be submitted as a team.)
  • Your Out of Town Package price includes your tournament entry fee. You do not have to pay the Local Team Fee. Just pay the per person price listed on the package chart.
  • Four Game Guarantee. Four teams in each division advance to a medal game. Games begin on Friday morning and medal games end on Sunday afternoon.
  • Games played at AdventHealth Center Ice, a state-of-the-art 4-pad complex.
  • 3 12-minutes stop-time periods.
  • Complimentary admission to all games for the family.
  • Player Souvenir for each participant.
  • Complimentary e-program.
  • Results and stats posted after each game on canamhockey.com.
  • Championship Gold-Silver-Bronze medals, team winning plaque, and custom arena banner for all gold medal teams.

HOTELS

As a condition of acceptance, all out of town teams more than 60 miles from the tournament location must reserve rooms and stay at one of our authorized hotels. CAN/AM has secured room blocks at area hotels for your team to choose from. Your families will make and pay for their hotel reservations right on the CAN/AM Hockey website. These rates are valid until 60 days prior to the event. Teams failing to reserve rooms at least 60 days out may see rates greater than the published rates.  

All out of town teams and their members (players, parents, coaches, guests) will be required to utilize a minimum total of 20 room nights during the tournament (for example 10 rooms per night, for two nights, would result in 20 room nights during the tournament). Tournament fees are based on teams meeting this requirement. Teams failing to meet the minimum number of room nights will be charged $50 per room night short.

Prices listed above include hotel, tournament, and gate fees for the weekend. Hotel fees, taxes, and gratuity are included. Depending on hotel selection, your room will have either a queen/queen, double/double, king/sofa bed or queen/sofa. Parking, cots, and other incidentals will be the responsibility of the individual incurring these charges.

Policies

TEAM DEPOSIT

A non-refundable $500 deposit will be charged to your credit card when your registration is accepted. The $500 team deposit is not an extra fee.  If you paid the team deposit, you can apply it to your balance or it can be divided between the families. If the team paid the $500 deposit, it can be returned to the team 30 days after tournament participation (refunds of team deposits paid by credit card are subject to a 5% service fee). Please contact one of our customer service representatives to discuss your options more fully. Should a team cancel its participation from an event, all deposits related to that team's registration will be forfeited.

PLAYER DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS

Hotel selection will be managed through our reservation system within the portal. Team representatives may choose their hotel after all player deposits have been submitted. Availability is live and updated in real time, allowing you to view and secure your hotel placement once all player deposits have been paid. Hotel placement is done on a first come, first served basis. Having families accept their invites and submit their player deposits quickly will provide your team with the widest selection of hotel properties. Your hotel selection cannot be made until all families have paid their player deposits. Please note that lump sum deposits are not accepted for hotel placement.

Once all deposits have been submitted, your Team representative will select your hotel. Families will then be able to proceed with the remainder of the registration process. Any family that pays the player deposit by credit card will automatically be charged their remaining balance 30 days prior to the Tournament date. We will not accept any checks within 30 days of the Tournament.

DEADLINES

All tournament related materials are due 45 days prior to the Tournament Date.  All final balances are due 30 days prior to the Tournament Date.

CANCELLATION POLICIES AND INSURANCE

PANDEMIC/FORCE MAJEURE CANCELLATION POLICY Should CAN/AM Hockey be forced to cancel an event due to a pandemic/force majeure, 100% of all fees paid will be credited to a future event.

STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY For uninsured reservations, all payments are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, there are no refunds on any payments unless the reservation holder purchased insurance. 

RESERVATION INSURANCE
All fees and reservations may be insured against cancellation. Any reservation for which the insurance was purchased will be entitled to a full refund of all fees paid less the cost of the insurance, subject to terms and conditions. Click here for more information on reservation insurance.
