Your Weekend Hotel Package price includes all tournament entry fees. Just pay the per person price listed on the chart.

PACKAGE EXPLANATION

The Challenge Cup is available in a Weekend Package where prices are charged on a per person basis depending on the number of players and guests in each room. This per person cost includes hotel accommodations, the tournament fee, and all of the package benefits listed for the tournament. All tax and gratuity are included in prices. The price is per person for the weekend. There are no additional fees. Depending on hotel selection, your room will have either a queen/queen, double/double, king/sofa bed or queen/sofa. Parking, cots, and other incidentals will be the responsibility of the individual incurring these charges.

To calculate costs for the Package, add the number of players and guests in a room. This determines the occupancy i.e. 1 player + 1 guest = double occupancy. Once you know the occupancy, simply add the corresponding per person cost for each player and guest in that room. All minors are free and do not receive any package benefits. Minors do not affect the occupancy. Minors stay with parent(s) in existing bed space. Therefore 1 player + 1 guest + 1 minor = double occupancy. We arrange your hotels, games, divisions, tournament events, and let you worry about one thing: having fun while experiencing great hockey!

For teams traveling a long distance, we suggest a Thursday arrival. Select additional night during checkout process.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

For a team to participate, all rostered players, coaches, managers, and guests must subscribe to one of these packages. Rates are based on 12 or more rostered players. Teams with less than 12 players will be charged $50 for each missing player.

Welcome to the CAN/AM Challenge Cup in stunning Lake Placid, New York! Your unforgettable tournament experience is about to begin. Upon arrival, your players will check in directly at their hotel, where they will receive meal passes and tournament credentials. Once settled in, it’s time to explore the town, with the iconic Olympic Arena, the site of the historic Miracle on Ice, likely being your first stop.

The games begin Friday morning, setting the tone for an exciting weekend. Your team will play a three-game round-robin from Friday through Saturday night, leaving plenty of time to discover Lake Placid. Your tournament credentials grant you access and discounts to Olympic venues, and downtown is filled with shops and local sights. By Saturday night, the medal matchups for your division will be set. Will your team have what it takes to compete for a medal on Sunday morning? Along the way, players will also have the opportunity to showcase their talents in our Shoot-Out and Relay event.

CAN/AM has carefully organized every detail to ensure your team has a seamless and memorable experience. All breakfasts and dinners are designed for your group to dine together, with no need to worry about reservations or splitting into smaller groups. Whether it’s 20 or 30 people, the tournament hotels are prepared to accommodate your team’s schedule and make dining together easy. In Lake Placid, it’s all about team unity. Throughout the weekend, the CAN/AM staff is always available to guide you, answer questions, and assist your players and guests. Policies

TEAM DEPOSIT

A non-refundable $500 deposit will be charged to your credit card when your registration is accepted. The $500 team deposit is not an extra fee.  If you paid the team deposit, you can apply it to your balance or it can be divided between the families. If the team paid the $500 deposit, it can be returned to the team 30 days after tournament participation (refunds of team deposits paid by credit card are subject to a 5% service fee). Please contact one of our customer service representatives to discuss your options more fully. Should a team cancel its participation from an event, all deposits related to that team's registration will be forfeited.

DEADLINES
All tournament related materials are due 45 days prior to the Tournament Date.  All final balances are due 30 days prior to the Tournament Date.

CANCELLATION POLICIES AND INSURANCE

PANDEMIC/FORCE MAJEURE CANCELLATION POLICY Should CAN/AM Hockey be forced to cancel an event due to a pandemic/force majeure, 100% of all fees paid will be credited to a future event.

STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY For uninsured reservations, all payments are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, there are no refunds on any payments unless the reservation holder purchased insurance. 

RESERVATION INSURANCE
All fees and reservations may be insured against cancellation. Any reservation for which the insurance was purchased will be entitled to a full refund of all fees paid less the cost of the insurance, subject to terms and conditions.  Click here for more information on reservation insurance.
