Travel
If you are planning to fly to camp, there are several airport options within driving distance of Lake Placid. The three major airports are located in Montreal, Quebec; Burlington, Vermont; and Albany, New York. Each is approximately a two-hour drive from Lake Placid.
You may also find convenient flight options through smaller regional airports. Adirondack Regional Airport in Saranac Lake is approximately 30 minutes from Lake Placid and offers direct flights from Boston and New York's JFK Airport. Plattsburgh International Airport is approximately 50 minutes away and offers direct flights from Washington Dulles International Airport. For those traveling by private or small aircraft, Lake Placid Airport also provides a local landing option.
Arrival Time
If you are flying in, plan your travel so you arrive in time for Registration on the first day of your program. Registration is from 1:30pm-3:30pm.
Departure Time
For return flights, plan for a flight that leaves after 4:30 PM on the last day of your camp.
Passport Requirements
Campers traveling internationally will be required to carry a Passport or other qualifying document. For campers flying by themselves, check with your airlines for any additional restrictions. Campers carrying passports, airline tickets and other important documents must lock them in the safe in the Camp Office. Please hand them in at registration once you arrive at camp!
